PATIENT STORIES

We are proud of the successes of many of our patients. Here are their incredible stories:

Streamline Pediatric Patient Wearing New Orthotic Brace

We are moving like never before we have mastered some of our long-term goals of climbing steps and jumping!

Brielle is a goofy energetic 3-year old that loves to dance and run!  Brie started wearing AFO’s when she was about 16 months for spasticity and toe walking. Our family hasn’t always loved her braces until we met Mr. Tim about a year ago to be honest my daughter first set was kinda hit and miss we often had to get them adjusted and when they got too short I was informed that she still had to stay in the same brace because insurance wouldn’t pay for them. No one ever asked if I was willing to pay out of pocket or had other resources to cover the cost.

Louella is a sweet 3-year-old with a contagious smile and laugh.

Louella is a sweet 3-year-old with a contagious smile and laugh. She has many friends in her pre-school classroom. She loves to pretend play in her food truck, kitchen, and with her babies. If Louella could spend every day outdoors, she would. She enjoys playing on playgrounds, going down slides, and riding in her brother’s power wheels.

Louella was diagnosed with Encephalitis of the brain which causes her to have developmental delays in gross motor, fine motor, and speech.

Chris Fleming, After Having Both Legs Amputated Above The Knee, Becomes Certified In Scuba Diving

Chris Fleming was working as a civilian contractor in Afghanistan in 2009, training the Afghan Border Patrol. On June 26, 2009, his truck was struck by a roadside bomb. As a result of the accident, Chris eventually had both of his legs amputated above the knee. After months of recovery and therapy, Streamline O&P fitted him with two above-knee prosthetic legs. By March 2010, Chris became certified in scuba diving using special "swim legs" fabricated by Streamline.
